San Bernardino Court - "Not Guilty" Verdict
Our client was charged with vehicular manslaughter resulting from a tragic accident wherein his son died. The district attorney refused to negotiate any resolution other than pleading guilty and accepting responsibility for what they believed he had done. After an extensive, year-long investigation, Bullard & Powell went to trial on the matter. It was a long, hard trial but we were not going to let our client plead guilty to something he did not do. San Bernardino Court - All felonies dismissed. Pled no contest to a misdemeanor with no probation. Our client was charged with felony resisting arrest with violence, felony DUI, felony driving with .08 blood alcohol level, misdemeanor battery on an officer, misdemeanor drug possession, infraction drug possession, and infraction open container in a vehicle. After carefully researching the issues, we determined the felony DUI was not supported by the evidence and we prepared a motion to dismiss to get the prior DUIs thrown out of Court. Bar Admissions
